The body of the Territorial Army soldier, who was abducted by terrorists in the Anantnag area of Jammu and Kashmir, has been recovered. There were gunshot wounds in his body, said reports.
The soldier, whose identity has not been revealed, was abducted by the terrorists on Tuesday along with another soldier, who managed to escape. The Army had launched a search operation following the abduction.
It is unclear when the incident happened and how one of the jawans managed to free himself.

Anantnag has been witnessing militant attacks for the last few months, the most recent being in August. The Army had to launch an anti-terror operation in the area after terrorists gunned down three people, including two soldiers. A massive manhunt was then launched Ahlan Gagarmandu forest area of Anantnag district to eliminate the ultras.
The gunfire exchange happened after a group of terrorists -- believed to be three to four in number -- opened fire at the joint search parties comprising Army personnel, including para commandos and local police.
