The Bharatiya Janata Party-led government in Haryana will be sworn in on October 17, the party said in a statement on Saturday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP chief ministers will attend the event.
In a statement, the Haryana BJP said, “The swearing-in ceremony of the Haryana government will be held on October 17 at 10am, at Dussehra Ground in Panchkula.” Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said, "We have got the nod of the prime minister and on October 17, the oath-taking ceremony of the chief minister and his council of ministers will take place in Panchkula," PTI reported.

While the BJP is yet to reveal its chief ministerial face, according to reports, party insiders suggest Nayab Singh Saini will continue as CM. Party insiders believe Saini, who replaced Khattar as Haryana CM in March, was instrumental in securing the hat-trick win in Haryana.
Defying exit polls, the BJP emerged victorious in the recently concluded Haryana assembly polls, winning 48 seats in the elections to the 90-member assembly. Congress won 37 seats. The JJP and AAP were decimated and the INLD managed to win just two seats.
