RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat came down heavily on Mamata Banerjee government in West Bengal and said the rape and murder of a trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata was “shameful”.

Addressing Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh workers during Vijayadashami celebrations at RSS headquarters in Nagpur, Mohan Bhagwat said society should be vigilant and never let incidents like the Kolkata doctor rape and murder happen. “What happened in RG Kar hospital in Kolkata is shameful. But, this is not a single incident. We should be vigilant and not let such incidents happen,” Bhagwat said.

Bhagwat charged even after the crime, attempts were made to protect the criminals and the probe was delayed. “In Kolkata doctor's rape, some tried to protect criminals; nexus of crime, politics and poisonous culture ruining us,” PTI reported quoting Bhagwat.

The RSS chief also expressed concern over unrest in Bangladesh and the ongoing Israel conflict. Bhagwat said a false narrative is being spread in Bangladesh that India is a threat. “Tyrannical fundamentalist nature exists in Bangladesh, sword of danger hangs over heads of minorities, including Hindus,” he said. Bhagwat said being weak is a crime and Hindus across the globe should stay united.

“Discussions are going on in Bangladesh that there is threat from India and hence they have to side with Pakistan. We all know which countries are pushing such discussions; we don't need to take their name. Their wish is to create such conditions in India as well,” ANI reported quoting him. The RSS chief charged deep state, wokeism and cultural Marxists are declared enemies of all cultural traditions.
