In a fresh breakthrough in the sex video case against Prajwal Revanna, the clothes worn by one of his alleged victims have tightened the prosecution's case againt the former Hassan MP.

The DNA report submitted by the Karnataka Forensic Science Laboratory to the Special Investigation Team (SIT) has found key DNA-based evidence. According to the report, the DNA extracted from the hair follicles and body fluids from the clothes worn by the woman matches with DNA samples collected from Prajwal.

The woman who was a domestic help at the plantation owned by Prajwal's father and JDS MLA. She was allegedly sexually assaulted by the JDS scion in two locations and these were reportedly recorded on his phone. The incident along with other alleged sexual assaults involving other victims came to light when these obscene videos and images were leaked in Hassan ahead of the Lok Sabha elections on April 26. Reports suggest that around 3,000 sexual assault videos and photos were leaked through pen drives.

Prajwal has been charged with IPC Section 376 (2) (k) for sexual harassment and criminal intimidation as well as IT Act Section 66E for recording and sharing assault on women as well as destroying evidence.
Prajwal had fled the country soon after the elections on April 27 and returned only around a month later on May 31, when he was arrested at Bengaluru's Kempegowda International Airport. The investigators are yet to find his "lost iPhone" which allegedly contained the explicit videos.
