Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee president Nana Patole denied disagreements within the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), and added that the ongoing discussions regarding seat allocation will end soon. So far, discussions on 96 seats for Congress have been completed, and today, further talks will be held with Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) president Sharad Pawar and Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray.

“We will try to announce the list of candidates tomorrow, Patole told reporters.

He also denied reports that Shiv Sena will leave the alliance. “The BJP is deliberately trying to spread misinformation about opposition parties. The BJP will face a crushing defeat in the assembly elections. Fear of this defeat is prompting them to play such games. No such statements have been made by the Congress either. All our collective efforts are focused on bringing MVA to power in Maharashtra,” he said.

Responding to a question, Patole said that the BJP's love for Hindus is fake. “When Narendra Modi came to power, he was promoted as the self-proclaimed 'Vishwaguru'. In these 11 years, farmer suicides have increased, and most of them were Hindus. Unemployment led to youth suicides, and most of them too were Hindus.

“It's no longer hidden that Hindus face injustice when the BJP is in power. BJP's Hindutva is only for political purposes. They publicly declared the renaming of Aurangabad to Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar but still wrote Aurangabad on the candidates' list. This is double-dealing. The Congress party has a clear stance on secularism,” he added.
