With just two days to go for the first state level public conference of actor-turned-politician Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), the venue at V. Salai, Villupuram district in Tamil Nadu is abuzz with activities. Party’s red and yellow coloured flags, cut outs of national and Dravidian leaders along with Vijay have lined top at the venue where Vijay will pronounce his party’s ideologies and the political path.
Life size cut outs of Ambedkar, Periyar, Kamaraj along with Vijay have been erected at the venue, making it apparent that the TVK will follow the path of these leaders. During earlier events, Vijay had urged the students and his followers to read about Ambedkar, Periyar and Kamaraj, mentioning about the contributions they have made to Tamil Nadu’s political landscape and the socio-political culture of India.
While Tamil Nadu along with these three leaders celebrates former Chief Minister C.N. Annadurai, who is considered a Dravidian icon, doesn’t seem to find a place in TVK’s conference venue. Annadurai or Anna as he is popularly known among the masses, is celebrated by both the Dravidian majors in Tamil Nadu.

Apart from the dias a long ramp has also been put up at the venue for Vijay to walk, meet and greet the fans and followers.
