The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has announced a bounty of Rs 10 lakh for Anmol Bishnoi, brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who is an accused in two crimes chargesheeted by the agency.

Anmol, who is on the most-wanted list of the NIA, is a suspect in the firing incident at Bollywood actor Salman Khan's residence. He is also the one who purportedly put up the Facebook post claiming responsibility for the firing. The Mumbai Police chargesheet also says that Anmol egged the two shooters to "do the work well" as they "will script history".

Anmol is considered a significant figure in the Bishnoi gang and was accused of being instrumental in the death of singer-politician Sidhu Moose Wala. The Punjabi rapper was shot dead in Mansa district in 2022. Interestingly, this happened just eight months after Anmol was released on bail from Jodhpur jail, where he was serving time for his alleged involvement in multiple criminal cases.

Anmol went missing soon after Moosewala's death and is believed to have escaped from India on a fake passport. Though there is no official confirmation yet, reports claim he was spotted in Kenya last year and has since changed his location multiple times.

Anmol also appeared at a Punjabi wedding in California in April 2023 and was photographed along with singers  Karan Aujla and Sharry Mann.  However, both Aujla and Mann said they had no clue that Anmol was present at the wedding as they were there just to perform.

There are also speculations that he is managing the gang’s affairs from Canada. "Anmol Bishnoi stays in Canada and travels to the USA. However, the IP address of the Facebook post, through which he claimed responsibility for the firing, was traced to Portugal," an official investigating the Salman Khan residence firing incident had claimed.

Post the shooting at Salman Khan's residence, there were speculations that Anmol and another gang member Rohit Godara were hiding in Pakistan. Anmol was also among the Bishnoi gang who allegedly received training in Azerbaijan. During the 40-day training period, these members were taught how to handle weapons.
