Several flights had been delayed in the recent past due to hoax bomb threats. One of the culprits behind these hoax threats was a 35-year-old man who was arrested in Nagpur. He was arrested after arriving from Delhi.

Who is Jagdish Uikey?
Jagdish Uikey, 35, is a writer hailing from Maoist-stricken Gondia district in Maharashtra. Uikey who is known for writing a book on terrorism was once arrested in 2021.

He had been living in Nagpur's Chandan Nagar and was previously traced to Connaught Place in Delhi. Following this, police arrested him when he came back to Nagpur.

Uikey had not only sent hoax emails to airports but also the Prime Minister's Office, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis. IndiGo airlines and several government agencies.
On October 21, Uikey had claimed that he decoded a secret terror code, 25-MBA-5-MTR, and claimed there would be 30 blasts in five days on trains and railway stations between October 25 and 30.
Last week, he threatened to sit on a dharna unless he could meet Fadnavis. He warned that there will be serial blasts on flights and trains, airports, railway stations and bus stands.
He also claimed to have access to a toolkit and that he had alerted the government about past train accidents. He even went on to allege that Jaish-e-Mohammed and Sikhs for Justice were behind the potentials blasts after they received Rs 75,000 crore funding.
