An investigation has been ordered after a video of a bar dancer gyrating to a movie song atop a government vehicle in Uttar Pradesh's Jhansi district went viral on Tuesday. The video shows a man and woman dancing to a hit number atop a Bolero on which 'SDM' is written on it.

The vehicle belongs to the OSD of Bundelkhand Industrial Development (BIDA), reported Jagran.

The video shows a woman and a man dancing atop the bonnet of the vehicle while people around them seen showering money on them. The vehicle had "Uttar Pradesh Sarkar' written in Hindi on it.

The incident happened during the birthday party of a one-year-old child in Tadol village of Shahjahanpur police station area. Reports said bar dancers were invited to the celebration where the Hariyanvi hit song 'Madam Baith Bolero Main...' was playing. The woman first jumped onto the bonnet and began dancing, after which the man joined her. The driver of the vehicle was seen turning on the beacon lights of the vehicle and blowing the horn.

The video soon spread like wildfire. Soon, the administration announced it had started an investigation into the matter.

Additional District Magistrate (Finance and Revenue), Jhansi, Varun Pandey said the vehicle belongs to a private firm but has been attached to BIDA. "Neither BIDA OSD nor any other government employee was present in the car. We think the driver probably took the vehicle to the event. A complaint has been lodged against him in the police station. A notice will be issued to the firm and a show cause notice has also been issued to the OSD as well," Pandey said.
