‘Good truth is coming out’: PM Modi praises Vikrant Massey’s ‘The Sabarmati Report’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all praise for Vikrant Massey-Raashii Khanna's ‘The Sabarmati Report’ and said eventually facts will always come out. The film revolves around the shocking Godhra incident in 2002, when a particular coach of the Sabarmati Express caught fire leading to the death of 59 pilgrims.

Appreciating an analytical tweet on the film, Narendra Modi tweeted, “Well said. It is good that this truth is coming out, and that too in a way common people can see it. A fake narrative can persist only for a limited period of time. Eventually, the facts will always come out!”

Vikrant Massey, who got noticed for his role as a civil services aspirant in Vidhu Vinod Chopra's 12th Fail, plays the role of a photojournalist in the film directed by Dheeraj Sarna.

The film, which was released in theatres on Friday collected Rs 1.69 crore at the box office on day one. Besides Massey and Raashii Khanna, actor Ridhi Dogra also plays a pivotal role in the film. The Sabarmati Report is produced by Ektaa R. Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor, Amul V. Mohan and Anshul Mohan.
