In a surprising incident, a video showing an Ola customer smashing his scooter with a hammer in front of the showroom has gone viral on social media. The video made the netizens wonder about the reasons behind the act.

The development came after the service centre staff issued a repaid bill of Rs 90,000.

The footage showed a man wearing a white T-shirt thrashing a scooter laid down in front of a showroom. Later, another man appears and takes turns with a hammer and begins smashing it.

"The showroom made a bill of Rs 90,000, the customer got upset and broke the scooter in front of the showroom," the video was posted with a caption on X.

Earlier, comedian Kunal Kamra criticised Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal for poor customer service. Kamra had questioned the after-sales support quality on social media by posting a picture of the scooters parked at an Ola service centre.

"Do Indian customers have a voice? Do they deserve this? Two-wheelers are many daily wage workers' lifeline," Kamra wrote.

After Kamra's remarks, Aggarwal reacted by saying, "Since you care so much, Kunal Kamra, come and help us out! I’ll even pay more than you earned for this paid tweet or from your failed comedy career. Or else sit quiet and let us focus on fixing the issues for the real customers. We’re expanding the service network fast, and backlogs will be cleared soon.”

The viral video received mixed responses on social media with one user saying, "All the electric scooter owners are frauds, they need goats so that they don't slaughter their customers. Everyone's service is absolutely poor."

"Whenever I think of buying an Ola Electric scooter. Some video like this surfaces and I delay my decision. I really wish there could be an electric company, which would make quality electric scooters," said another user.

"Ola founders unprofessional practices already well established in Ola taxi services & now extended to Scooters they make. Govt should bring regulatory mechanism to safeguard public at large," commented another user.
