A 19-year-old woman was found murdered in a service apartment at Indiranagar in Bengaluru, police said on Tuesday, adding that they are in search of her male friend who is on the run.
The deceased, identified as Maya Gogoi, a native of Assam, is a YouTube content creator and was working at a private firm in Jayanagar. According to police, she was stabbed to death allegedly by her male friend Aarav Hanoy (21), who hails from Kannur in Kerala.
Hanoy is an employee at Lips caller overseas in HSR layout.
Police have filed a case under Section 103 for murder and 238 for causing disappearance of evidence of offence under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

The body of the woman was in a partially decomposed situation and the exact date of the crime can be ascertained only after police gets the post-mortem report.
Police examined the CCTV footage which showed both the woman and the suspect arriving at the apartment on November 23. He allegedly fled the spot after killing her.
"Both of them entered the lodge on November 23 at 12:28 pm. The suspect went out of the lodge today at 8:19 am," a senior police officer told news agency PTI. He said the suspect might have stayed in the room with the body.
Police have formed multiple teams to nab the accused.
The woman came to Bengaluru just six months ago and was staying at an apartment in Whitefield area with her sister and a friend.
