The CBI and NIA have extradited a Lashkar-e-Taiba member from Rwanda for funding terror activities in Bengaluru.
The terrorist was identified as Salman Rehman Khan, who is accused of radicalising inmates at Bengaluru's Parappana Agrahara Central Jail.

Who is Salman Rehman Khan?
Salman Rehman Khan, an LeT member, is accused of criminal conspiracy and providing material support to the Pakistan-based terror outfit.Â
The NIA had in 2023 registered a case against him under the Arms Act, the Explosive Substances Act and other charges linked to terrorism for supplying arms and explosives for terror activities in Bengaluru.
Back in 2023, the Bengaluru police seized weapons from the Parappana Agrahara Central Prison. The authorities seized seven pistols, one magazine, four hand grenades, 45 live rounds and four walkie-talkies.

The case was handed over to the NIA in October 2023. NIA later requested the CBI to secure an Interpol Red Notice against the terrorist. The Interpol issued the notice to law enforcement agencies worldwide on August 2, 2024. With the support of Interpol's National Central Bureau in Kigali, Khan was traced to Rwanda.
Khan was brought back to India on November 28, 2024. The CBI has secured the extradition of more than 100 criminals since 2021 and 26 of them were in 2024.
Earlier in November, Barkat Ali Khan was brought home from Saudi Arabia with the help of Interpol. He was issued Interpol notice in December 2022 and was wanted for rioting and using explosives in Mumbai.
Raihan Arabikalarikkal from Kerala also extradited from Saudi Arabia on November 10. He was accused of committing rape and sexual offences against a minor. The Interpol notice was issued in December 2023.
