A scary video of an IndiGo flight's attempted landing at the Chennai airport during unpleasant weather conditions caused by Cyclone Fangal has surfaced on the internet. The viral video, which THE WEEK couldn't independently verify, showed the IndiGo aircraft abruptly taking off after a touchdown attempt failed and its wings came dangerously close to the ground.

The aircraft tilted to the left for a moment before regaining momentum to steady and flew towards the clouds, the videos showed. The flight captured in the viral video was an Airbus A320 neo plane, reports said.
While some said powerful crosswinds and low visibility should have forced the pilot to abort the landing plan and take off again, others were critical of the decision of the Chennai airport authorities to allow planes to land amidst such terrible conditions.
