In a bizarre incident, a parcel containing the decomposed body of a stranger was sent to an Andhra Pradesh woman who was seeking donations to build her house. The incident occurred in Undi Mandal in West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh on Thursday.

The woman, identified as Tulasi hailing from Yendagandi village in Undi Mandal, had sought help for building a house on a government-sanctioned site and had reached out to the Kshatriya Seva Samithi for financial assistance.

She received a WhatsApp message saying she would be provided with electrical items, including lights, fans, and switches. She had no suspicions as the Samiti had earlier sent her tiles.

The wooden crate arrived at her home on Thursday night. On opening it, the woman found a body with its face disfigured and wrapped in plastic sheets inside the crate. Reports claim that only the torso of the body was inside the crate and the limbs were missing.

Inside the crate was a letter demanding Rs 1,30 crore. It warned of consequences if the demand was not met. It wasn't clear to whom the letter was addressed.

The shocked members of her family immediately alerted the police who rushed to the spot. The body was moved to a government hospital for an autopsy, which revealed the man had died four to five days ago.  The identity of the individual has not been ascertained. The police have summoned representatives from the Kshatriya Seva Samithi for questioning.
