In his last Mann Ki Baat episode for the year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said India will host an international summit called ‘WAVES’ next year to attract investments in the media and entertainment sector. Modi said the government aims to make India a global hub of content creation.

“ Next year, for the first time, the World Audio Visual Entertainment Summit i.e. WAVES summit is going to be organised in our country. All of you must have heard about Davos, where the world's economic giants gather. Similarly, in the WAVES summit, giants from the media and entertainment industry and people from the creative world will come to India. This summit is an important step towards making India a hub of global content creation,” Modi said. The prime minister added young creators in the country are part of preparations for the summit.

“When we are moving towards a $5 trillion economy, our creator economy is bringing in a new energy”, the prime minister said. Modi urged Indian creators and personalities from the creative industry to take part in the summit.

Talking about ‘Maha Kumbh', Modi said the upcoming 'Maha Kumbh' as the "mahakumbh of unity" as he asked people to return from the grand religious congregation with the resolve to banish hate and division from the society. He added, "Mahakumbh ka sandesh ek ho pura desh (Message from the Maha Kumbh should be that the entire country must be united)."  Noting the variety of people who visit the congregation, which will be held in Prayagraj from January 13, he said there is no other example of such a scene of unity in diversity.

"Mahakumbh's speciality lies not just in its vastness but also in its diversity," he said.  The mega-religious event is held every 12 years. Highlighting various digital features integrated into organising Mahakumbh this year, Modi said, “With the help of digital navigation, you will be able to reach different ghats, temples, and akharas of sadhus. For the first time, an AI chatbot will be used in the Kumbh event. All kinds of information related to Kumbh will be available in 11 Indian languages through the AI chatbot.”

Modi also pointed out that the next Republic Day will mark the 75th anniversary of the implementation of the Constitution. “It is a matter of pride for the countrymen,” he said, and asserted that the Constitution has stood every test of time.

"It is our guiding light," he said, adding that he reached this position in his life due to the Constitution. Modi said a website, constitution75.com, has been launched to connect people with its provisions and spirit. Opposition parties have often accused his government of weakening the Constitution, a charge vehemently denied by the ruling party.

Modi has constantly highlighted his government's efforts to strengthen constitutional values and spirit, and has, in turn, accused the main opposition Congress of subverting the country's guiding document whenever it was in power.
