BJP leader's son injured in firing incident in Jammu

The incident reportedly occurred following an argument between Kanav Sharma and some individuals at the PDD office

Kanav Sharma, son of senior BJP leader Chander Mohan Sharma and the District President of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Jammu unit, sustained injuries after being shot at near the Power Development Department (PDD) office in the New Plots area of Jammu city.

The incident reportedly occurred following an argument between Kanav Sharma and some individuals at the PDD office. During the confrontation, one person allegedly opened fire, injuring Sharma.

Sharma was immediately taken to Government Medical College (GMC) and Hospital, where his condition is described as stable.

Speaking to reporters outside the hospital, Chander Mohan Sharma said his son was attacked with a personal weapon during a heated exchange. He added that the assailant managed to flee the scene after firing two shots.

The police have initiated an investigation into the case. Preliminary findings indicate that the suspect might be a PDD employee, and efforts are underway to locate and apprehend him.
