Four Army personnel were killed and two were injured when their vehicle fell into a gorge in Jammu and Kashmir's Bandipora district on Saturday.
According to officials, the vehicle skidded off the road and fell into a gorge near SK Payen in the north Kashmir district.
The officials confirmed that three soldiers lost their lives and two got injured.

In a post on X, Army's Chinar Corps said that the Army vehicle skidded and fell into the gorge due to inclement weather and poor visibility conditions.

"Injured soldiers were promptly evacuated for medical care with assistance from Kashmiri locals, for which we express gratitude towards the citizens in providing immediate succour," they said.
"Tragically three bravehearts lost their lives in the unfortunate accident. Indian Army extends heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families," the Army said.
Later Army said another solider also died.
Jammu Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha expressed his condolences to the bereaved families. "Deeply grieved by the loss of lives of Indian Army personnel due to a tragic road accident in Bandipora. The nation is deeply grateful for their service and commitment. My condolences to the bereaved families and prayers for the speedy recovery of the injured," he said in his message.
In a similar incident last month, five soldiers lost their lives after their truck plunged into a 300-foot gorge in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch. At least five other soldiers in the vehicle got injured in the accident.
The Army's White Knight Corps also extended their deep condolences on the tragic loss of the brave soldiers during operational duty.
