Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress has backed Aam Aadmi Party in the upcoming Delhi assembly elections. Responding to this, AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday thanked the TMC chief.

Kejriwal took to X, saying TMC extended support to AAP in the assembly polls, adding that he is personally grateful to Mamata. "Thank you Didi. U have always supported and blessed us in our good and bad times," the former Delhi CM said.

AAP has already announced candidates for all 70 constituencies

This comes after the Akhilesh Yadav's Samajwadi Party and Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena (UBT) announced their support for the AAP.

With major INDIA bloc allies supporting AAP, the Congress has found itself cornered in the three-way battle against the AAP and the BJP.

The elections to the Delhi assembly will be held on February 5. The votes will be counted on February 8.

The last date to file the nominations is January 17. The nominations will scrutinised by January 18. The final date to withdraw nominations is January 20.
