BRS leader KT Rama Rao, popularly referred to as KTR, was placed under house arrest on Tuesday, according to reports.
KTR, who is the son of former Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, has been facing Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) over financial irregularities regarding the funding of a Formula E car race.
Besides KTR, six other BRS leaders including Harish Rao and RS Praveen Kumar are also placed under house arrest, reported ANI.
On Tuesday, KTR's residence saw heavy police deployment. This came after BRS MLA Padi Koushik Reddy was arrested on Monday. The Telangana High Court on Tuesday rejected KTR's plea to quash the case.

KTR, who has slammed the allegations as frivolous, said the officials questioned him for seven hours. He claimed that the sleuths did not have any evidence to prove the charges and kept repeating the same questions almost 80 times.
Calling it an abuse of the process of law, KTR said the ACB has "zero case". He said the Formula E car race was organised to ensure Hyderabad and Telangana are put on the world stage.
He alleged that the ACB is making a case out of the event just for the "sadistic pleasure" of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and to suppress the voices that question the government.
KTR vowed to fight legally, saying the truth would come out and justice would prevail.
Besides the ACB's FIR, the Enforcement Directorate has also lodged Enforcement Case Information Report (ECIR).
