Actor Saif Ali Khan, who was stabbed by an alleged intruder at this residence in Mumbai is responding well to treatment and recovering, doctors treating the actor at Lilavati Hospital said.
Doctors said the actor, who has been shifted out of the ICU, is recovering well. He is walking and is on a normal diet, doctors said. They added Khan is expected to be discharged in two to three days.
"We are observing his progress, and he is doing excellently well according to our expectations. As per his progress, we have advised him bed rest, and if he is comfortable, then in two to three days we will discharge him," Dr Nitin Dange, a neurosurgeon at Lilavati Hospital, told PTI.
Actor Khan was stabbed six times during the early hours of Thursday when an alleged burglar sneaked into his house in Bandra and demanded a ransom of Rs 1 crore. The actor was attacked when he got into a scuffle with the burglar. The attacker allegedly entered and exited the building using the fire exit.

According to doctors, Khan suffered deep cuts in his neck, left hand and near his spine. Doctors removed a 2.5-inch long broken knife part from the wound in his spine.
Dr Dange had said that Khan had three injuries, two on the hand and one on the right side of the neck. And the major part was at the back, which was in the spine.
Meanwhile, Mumbai police have intensified the search for the attacker and have deployed 30 teams to nab him. New visuals of the attacker emerged on Saturday, in which he is seen purchasing earphones from a store in Dadar six hours after the incident.
