Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday spoke to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and reviewed the situation after a major fire broke out at the Mahakumbh Mela site at Prayagraj.
Adityanath reportedly informed Modi that the skilled brigades of NDRF and SDRF had controlled the fire in time.

The chief minister visited the accident site and spoke to officials and firefighting teams.
The fire broke out in Sector 19 following a cylinder blast, engulfing 70-80 huts and 18 tents. No casualty was reported in the incident.
At least fifteen firefighters rushed to the site and extinguished the blaze.
"Two cylinders exploded in Sector 19 of the Maha Kumbh Mela, causing a massive fire in the camps. Firefighters doused the blaze," Akhara police station in-charge Bhaskar Mishra said, reported PTI.
Uttar Pradesh minister A.K. Sharma said the fire was extinguished and the situation was brought under control within 20 minutes.
"The fire was brought under control within 20 minutes. There has been no loss of lives in the incident and for that, I thank Ma Ganga, Triveni and Lete Hanuman ji. Our police team and NDRF are at the spot,” he told ANI.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Mahakumbh Mela Vaibhav Krishan said that the fire broke out in the tents of Gita Press and a survey was being conducted to ascertain the extent of damage.
