Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha will oversee the event and take the salute during the parade, with Chief Minister Omar Abdullah serving as the chief guest.

Security in and around M.A. Stadium, the main venue for the function, has been tightened and the area has been cordoned off by the Jammu and Kashmir Police to ensure safety.

Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary, along with various Cabinet ministers, will take the salute at district-level functions across Jammu and Kashmir. In district headquarters, District Development Council (DDC) chairpersons will officiate and take the salute during local celebrations.

Police deployment has been reinforced, and checkpoints have been established at key locations across the city. Meanwhile, personnel from the Army, Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), police, and Village Defence Guards (VDGs) are maintaining heightened vigilance along the International Border (IB), Line of Control (LoC), and in border villages.

Several cultural programmes have been organised for the event at the designated celebration venues. In Srinagar, Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary will take the parade salute and deliver an address at Bakshi Stadium, where preparations include cultural performances and parades amidst stringent security measures.

The Jammu and Kashmir administration has directed the illumination of government buildings and the hoisting of the national flag at all government offices across the Union Territory.

This initiative aims to mark the occasion with grandeur and promote widespread participation in the festivities. Special emphasis is being placed on tricolour-themed lighting as a symbol of national pride and unity.

District administrations have been instructed to oversee the decoration and illumination of prominent government buildings, with government employees expected to actively participate in Republic Day functions within their respective districts. Attendance at these events has been made mandatory to ensure maximum participation and engagement.

Citizens have also been encouraged to join the commemorations and reflect on the significance of Republic Day.
