India's successful response to COVID-19 a testament to Modi's leadership: MP CM in Japan

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav likened Indians to sugar who could seamlessly blend into any environment. CM Yadav is on a four-day visit to Japan to solicit interest for the investors summit that is to take place in the state in February.

The Chief Minister met with Yasushi Furukawa, the Minister of State for the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT). Among the topics discussed were infrastructure development, smart cities, modernizing transport systems, and tourism.  

Yadav spoke of leveraging Japanese expertise, especially for infrastructure and transportation development. He also emphasized the state's leadership in solar energy production and invited Japanese companies to collaborate in enhancing solar and renewable energy projects.

For tourism, the focus was on historical sites like Khajuraho and Sanchi plus eco-friendly tourism in national parks like Kanha and Bandhavgarh. Another possible area of cooperation discussed was organic agriculture, and Japanese institutions partnering with the state in advancing technical education and skills development.

Yadav acknowledged Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership for instilling a sense of self-confidence and pride among Indians, both at home and abroad.

Reflecting on India's cultural values, he spoke of the importance of peace, harmony, and global welfare, citing how these principles guide Indians in their work worldwide. He quoted poet Iqbal to highlight India's resilience and determination to overcome challenges.

Yadav noted the nation's successful response to the COVID-19 pandemic as a testament to Modi's leadership. He praised the sense of self-confidence and pride that has emerged among Indians, both at home and abroad. He lauded Modi’s effective communication during the pandemic with the public through symbolic acts like clapping and ringing thalis to foster collective awareness.

He also called upon Indians in Japan to continue their dedicated work while reinforcing the idea that the deep-rooted family values in Indian culture contribute to the unity of the country.
