Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar is looking for a job post-retirement, charged Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal in response to the Election Commission seeking fresh reply for his controversial “poisoning river Yamuna” remark.
Addressing reporters in Delhi, the former chief minister accused the poll body of bias and charged money is being openly distributed in the national capital for Delhi Assembly polls. “I want to say to Rajiv Kumar that history will not forgive you. Rajiv Kumar has made a mess of the poll body," Kejriwal charged. The AAP leader alleged the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) is looking for a job post-retirement.
Coming down on Kumar heavily, Kejriwal said if the Chief Election Commissioner wants to do politics, then he should “Delhi polls from a constituency”.

Kejriwal’s scathing attack on the Election Commission and CEC comes as the poll body has sought a fresh reply from him regarding the “poisoning river Yamuna” remark. Kejriwal on Thursday claimed the ammonia level in river Yamuna has dropped from 7 ppm to 3 ppm after he raised the charge. “That means they were doing this. Till the time I am alive, I will not let people drink poisonous water. We will not let poisonous water enter Delhi. I am standing with the people of Delhi,” the AAP leader said.
The Election Commission on Thursday sought fresh clarification from the AAP leader for his remarks, citing his response was “entirely silent” about his poisoning charge and it lacked evidence. The Commission has directed Kejriwal to file a fresh reply by 11am on Friday.
