Shinde on Thursday attended the swearing-in ceremony of the new Bharatiya Janata Party-led government in the national capital. He reportedly also attended the conference of chief ministers of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance.
The threat comes after the sensational assassination of veteran Maharashtra politician and former minister Baba Siddique. The Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar) leader was murdered in front of his son’s office in Mumbai in October last year. Siddique was shot three times and though he was rushed to the hospital, he succumbed to the injuries. The Mumbai police formed a Special Investigation Team to probe the case. The police have arrested close to 30 persons in connection with the case. Siddique was allegedly killed by the infamous Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The politician was allegedly on the hit list of the gang for his close ties with actor Salman Khan.
