After Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office claimed that Hamas reneged on some of the agreements, officials in the militant group dismissed the allegations.
The Israeli PMO stated that Hamas backtracked on certain understandings, which has resulted in a last-minute crisis. Netanyahu's office said the Israeli cabinet will convene and approve the ceasefire deal only after Hamas accepts all demands.
The premier's office claimed Hamas wanted to dictate the identity of the Palestinian security prisoners who are being released in exchange of the Israeli hostages.
The deal, as per a leaked version, says the prisoners would be released as per the list agreed by both sides.
Though US President Joe Biden and President-elect Donald Trump said the deal has been reached, Netanyahu insisted that final deal is yet to be signed.
Following this, senior Hamas official Izzat el-Risheq slammed the allegations, adding that the group is committed to the ceasefire deal.
A senior Israeli official earlier said that Israel would not pull out from the Philadelphi Corridor, which is the border between Gaza and Egypt.
The 42-day first phase will see 33 women, children, the elderly and the sick being released by Hamas. In return, Israel will release 1,000 Palestinian security prisoners.
