The Israeli government has notified the families of 33 hostages who are expected to be released by Hamas during the first phase of the ceasefire.
However, Hamas has not revealed how many of these hostages are alive. Israel believes that most of them are alive. They include women, children, the elderly and the sick. Hamas is expected to reveal the identities of those being released a day before their release.
Reports suggested that Israel had insisted on receiving the living hostages first, followed by the bodies of the remaining.
The women who will be released in the first phase are Shiri Silberman Bibas, 33, Doron Steinbrecher, 31, Arbel Yehud, 29, Emily Damari, 27, Romi Gonen, 23, Agam Berger, 21, Danielle Giboa, 20, Karina Ariev, 20, Naama Levy, 20, and Liri Albag, 19.
The children who will be released include Ariel Bibas, 5, and Kfir Bibas, 2.
The 10 elderly men who are being released are Shlomo Mansour, 86, Oded Lifshitz, 84, Gadi Moshe Moses, 80, Itzik Elgarat, 70, Keith Siegel, 65, Ohad Ben-Ami, 58, Ofer Calderon, 54, Eli Sharabi, 52, Ohad Yahalomi, 50, and Tsahi Idan, 50.
The 11 younger men who are sick include Yair Horn, 46, Tal Shoham, 39, Avera Mengistu, 38, Hisham al-Sayed, 36, Sagui Dekel-Chen, 36, Yarden Bibas, 35, Or Levy, 34, Sasha Trufanov, 28, Eliya Cohen, 27, Omer Wenkert, 23, and Omer Shem-Tov, 22.
This list was earlier released by Hamas via a Saudi news outlet. Youssef Hamis Ziyadne, 54, who was killed in Hamas captivity whose body was recovered by the IDF was also in the list that appeared on the news outlet.
Benjamin Netanyahu earlier claimed that the list leaked by media was the one provided by Israel to the mediators in July.
The hostages will be released phase by phase. Three hostages will be released on the first day of the ceasefire while four more will be returend on the seventh day. Three each will be returned in the following four weeks. On the sixth week of the phase one, th remaining 14 hostages will be returned.
Besides these 33 hostages, 65 others are also held by Hamas. Most of them are reportedly dead.
