India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have strong economic ties that have seen a significant growth in the recent years. Here are key sectors where ties between India and the UAE are making a big splash.

Renewable energy

India and the UAE have recently increased their cooperation in the renewable energy sector, including the 60-gigawatt renewable energy project in Rajasthan signed in October 2024. The project will see cooperation in solar, wind, and mixed power setups in Rajasthan's countryside.

Space technology

The two countries are also cooperating in satellite technology, space exploration, and research. The UAE Space Agency (UAESA) and Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) are working together on the Gulf nation's Mars mission, Hope Probe (2020), and putting up satellites to boost agriculture, disaster coordination and environment conservation.

Health technology

India and the UAE are changing how they approach health technology. One big win from this teamwork is the growth of telemedicine and online health platforms. These tools help people in rural areas talk to doctors online. This setup lets Indian doctors help patients in the UAE and vice versa. India sees the UAE as a key partner to talk about where biotech and drug manufacturing are headed, including work on vaccines and making cheaper versions of brand-name drugs.

Digital transactions

The relationship between the two countries in digital transactions has grown in the last five years. India's digital payment system has caused a revolution in financial inclusion through several methods, like UPI, AePS, and IMPS. These make everyday transactions fast and easy to access. People in the UAE have embraced these systems because of the large Indian diaspora there.
