Ten minutes and it was all over for England as India won the third Test against England in Nottingham. Resuming at an overnight score of 311/9, England lost their last wicket in the third over of the day, as India bounced back to win the match after going down 2-0 in the five-match series.

Five balls was all it took for Ravichandran Ashwin, who was fighting an injured hip muscle, to finally break the unrelenting James Anderson-Adil Rashid duo who delayed the inevitable defeat.

On Tuesday, Jasprit Bumrah produced a hostile spell of fast bowling to put India on the brink of a comprehensive victory before the final England pair dug in on an engrossing fourth day of the third Test.

Coming back from injury, Bumrah (5/85 in 29 overs) wreaked havoc with the second new ball after stiff resistance from Jos Buttler and Ben Stokes as England barely managed to reach 311 for 9 in pursuit of an improbable target of 521 runs. This was Burmrah's second five-wicket haul in only his fourth Test match.

England needed 210 runs on the final day, but managed to add only another seven runs.
