Nike is launching a special edition shoes that will sport a green turf-like covering inspired by golf courses. Yes, you read that right. Nike has created the Air Max 1 Golf “Grass” for this year's PGA Tour.
The Air Max 1 Golf “Grass” is a special edition of the iconic Air Max 1 sneaker. The shoes feature artificial grass or fuzzy green turf resembling a golf course placed on white midsole and gum rubber outsole with golf-ready traction.The Nike logo (the Swoosh) is featured on its sides.
Nike hasn't set a release date for the shoes which will cost USD 140. The shoes will be made available in select retailers in the US and on Nike's website.
Since the launch of the Air Max 1 Golf Grass was announced, Twitter has been abuzz with mixed thoughts on the shoes.
However, the question remains―will golf pros actually sport the “Grass” sneakers this season?
