Australia have announced their 17-man squad on Friday for the five-test Ashes series against England, starting on August 1 at Edgbaston.

Former captain Steve Smith and David Warner have been included in the squad following their impressive run in the World Cup. Cameron Bancroft, who was banned along woth Smith and Warner in the ball-tampering scandal, also made his way back into the team.

England are yet to name their squad. The team is expected to make the announcement after the ongoing one-off Test against Ireland. England were crowned world champions in the recently concluded World Cup, but have failed to carry the momentum into the Test match at Lord's against neighbours Ireland.

England, who were all out for 85 in the first innings, have set a target of 182 for Ireland after crawling back in the second innings to post a score of 303. Ireland have been doing fairly well after their bowlers ripped through the hosts' batting order and posted 207 runs.
