West Indies overcame a loose start with the ball to restrict India to 72/2 at lunch on the first day of the second and final Test, in Kingston, Jamaica.

Opener Mayank Agarwal (41*) and skipper Virat Kohli (5*) were at the crease.

Having won the toss, West Indies Jason Holder put India into bat first. Agarwal and fellow opener K.L. Rahul were helped by some loose bowling, especially by Shannon Gabriel, and they put on 32 runs for the first wicket.

Holder, however, bowled a beauty to force Rahul (13) to nick one to the first slip, where debutant Rahkeem Cornwall took his first international catch.

Cornwall returned with the ball to prise out Cheteshwar Pujara for six, who cut it straight to point.

Agarwal found an able ally in skipper Kohli, and the two have put on 26 runs for the third wicket so far.

India fielded an unchanged side, which beat the hosts by 318 runs in the first Test in Antigua.

Cornwall and wicketkeeper-batsman Jahmar Hamilton made their debut for the West Indies. They replaced Miguel Cummins and Shai Hope in the playing XI.
