Jamaica's Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce stormed into history books as she won her fourth 100 metres gold on Sunday at the World Championships in Doha.
Shelly-Ann clocked a season-best time of 10.71 seconds to take the gold. Britain's Dina Asher-Smith bagged the silver finishing in 10.83 seconds, followed by Ivory Coast's Marie-Josee Ta Lou who came in third in 10.90 seconds.
The Jamaican's four titles now stand better a notch better than her compatriot Usain Bolt and Americans Carl Lewis and Maurice Greene. She also has a Olympic gold from the 2008 and 2012 editions.
The sprint powerhouse returned to track last year after giving birth to a son. As she crossed the finish line, Shelly-Annlet out a scream, wrapped herself in the Jamaican flag and held her son before taking a victory lap around the stadium.
Meanwhile, Allyson Felix of the US broke Usain Bolt's gold medal record tally of 11 World Championship gold medals. Felix now has 26 medals, includes six Olympic golds.
Felix had failed to qualify for the individual 400m event in Doha, but took gold in the 4x400m mixed relay after the United States won the event with a world record timing of 3 minutes and 9.34 seconds.
Felix also had taken time off to have her child last year.
