Roger Federer had a busy day on Wednesday, sifting through probably a plethora of movie suggestions from fans on Twitter after a seemingly small request. When Federer decided to kick back with a few movies, he turned to Twitter for suggestions, and boy, did fans jump at the opportunity!

Federer first tweeted asking for movie suggestions along with the tags #AvengersAssemble and #Aquaman. Fans naturally suggested some good movies including The Shawshank Redemption, Good Will Hunting, The Prestige, and Inception along with a few superhero movies such as Black Panther and Wonder Woman.

Some cheeky fans posted videos of his tennis matches, including a small clip of the match against John Isner during the Laver Cup, to which Federer tweeted, “This was scary but a happy end!” Later, Isner retweeted Federer's tweet with some friendly banter. “I think that movie sucks!” the American tennis player tweeted.

However, the Swiss tennis superstar followed up his first query with suggestions for Bollywood classics.

“A Bollywood classic maybe?,” the 20-time grand slam champion tweeted.

Fans flooded his timeline with a list of movies he could enjoy including Taare Zameen Par, 3 Idiots, Sholay, Mother India, Salaam Bombay and Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDJL) among others. Some suggested some good old sports dramas such as Chak De! India, Dangal, Lagaan and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.

The cheek wasn't missing among Indian fans as some suggested Federer watch some of Arbaaz Khan's movies, who has an uncanny resemblance to the Swiss tennis star.

In the end, it looked like Federer was inclining towards watching Slumdog Millionaire, having tweeted, “Can't believe that I haven’t seen it yet! Is it time?”. He also thanked another fan who suggested Sholay, Lagaan, Jodha Akbar and Dangal.
