Batting legends Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara will grace the 22 yards yet again, as part of the Road Safety World Series in India next year.
The T20 tournament, which will be held from February 2 to 16, will be an annual affair, and will be played between retired cricketers from five countries—India, Australia, South Africa, Sri Lanka and West Indies.
Along with Tendulkar and West Indian stalwart Lara, other greats of the game like Virender Sehwag, Brett Lee, Tillakaratne Dilshan and Jonty Rhodes will take part in the tournament.
Tendulkar, whose career spanned 24 years, is the world's leading run-getter in Tests and ODIs, scoring more than 34,000 runs and 100 centuries till he retired in 2013.
Interestingly, Tendulkar surpassed Lara's record for most Test runs—11,953—in 2008. The West Indies great retired from international cricket in 2007.
Lara, however, holds the record for the highest individual Test score—400 not out against England in Antigua in 2004.
