India continued their dominance over Bangladesh, winning their first Day/Night Test, at Eden Gardens in Kolkata by an innings and 46 runs inside three days.
Playing their first pink-ball Test, the home team showed why they were the number no. 1 Test side, bowling out the visitors for 195 in 41.1 overs in the second innings. India had declared at 347/9, after Bangladesh made a paltry 106 in the first innings.
It was India's seventh straight Test win—their longest winning streak. It was also the first time India had won a Test at home, where the pacers took all the wickets. While Ishant Sharma (5/22) was the destroyer-in-chief in the first innings, it was Umesh Yadav (5/53) who did the star turn with the ball in the second innings.

Veteran Bangladesh wicketkeeper batsman Mushfiqur Rahim was the top scorer for the visitors, hitting a valiant 74.
Bangladesh resumed their second innings at 152 for six on day three and trailing India by 89 runs. The Virat Kohli-led side eventually completed the job for in less than 50 minutes for their four straight innings victory, becoming the first team do so.
Eden Gardens played the perfect host for the historic game with packed crowds on all three days. However, the lack of competition on the field was nowhere close to the hype surrounding the game.
The game will also be remembered for Virat Kohli's 27th Test ton, extending his overall tally to 70 international hundreds.
With the resounding win, India also extended their lead in the World Test Championship by collecting 120 points from the two-match series. India had hammered Bangladesh by an innings and 130 runs in the series opener in Indore.
