Mahendra Singh Dhoni is always in news, both on and off the field. Speculations about his impending retirement from international cricket have been rife since India's semifinal exit in the ICC World Cup earlier this year.
Since then, Dhoni, an honorary lieutenant colonel in the Territorial Army, joined his unit in the south Kashmir region to carry out patrolling, guard duties and similar responsibilities just like other soldiers. He then went to the United States on a holiday trip.
He was not part of the tour of the West Indies and the home series against South Africa and Bangladesh. Recently, the veteran wicketkeeper-batsman asked the media not to ask him anything about his retirement till January next year. National selection committee chairman M.S.K. Prasad had already made it clear that the panel has "moved on" and Dhoni is aware of its intent to blood youngsters such as Rishabh Pant keeping in mind the T20 World Cup in Australia.
Amid all the speculations, came an amusing sight for Dhoni fans. An Instagram user posted a video showing him singing 'Jab koi baat bigad jaye' from the film 'Jurm' for his friends at a party. The user shared it with the caption: “WARNING: PLS WATCH AT UR OWN RISK... The very talented Mr Mahi ... @mahi7781 pls dont kill me for postin dis one !!! But dis awaaz had to b shared !! @sakshisingh_r urs comin soon.”
Dhoni had taken on the singing avatar earlier too, when he crooned a Mukesh number 'Main pal do pal ka shayar hoon' from the film 'Kabhie Kabhie', at a gathering of Armymen. He had admitted then that Kishore Kumar is his favourite singer.
