The COVID-19 pandemic lockdown has confined people—celebrities and commoners alike—to their houses. While it has brought about several challenges for all, celebrities, in particular, are going through an interesting phase in their lives.
With little or no support staff available, and with their favourite haunts shut down, they have taken up matters in their own hands, literally. And they have been enthusiastically posting these videos and pictures on social media, much to the delight of their fans.
Sachin Tendulkar, for instance, posted a series of pictures yesterday on Instagram, which showed him giving himself a haircut! The Master Blaster was seen trimming his famous curls. "From playing square cuts to doing my own hair cuts, have always enjoyed doing different things. How's my new hairdo looking @aalimhakim & @nandan_v_naik?", he captioned them.
While his fans were delighted, England women cricketer Danielle Wyatt posted a funny comment, asking Tendulkar's son Arjun why he did not give his father a haircut!
The 46-year-old, like other sportspersons, is spending the lockdown period at home. He has contributed Rs 50 lakh in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic and has also pledged to feed 5,000 people for a month.
