An Afghan local news agency ISNA quoted Tehran’s police chief Hossein Rahimi as saying, “This individual has been arrested by Tehran's cyber police.”
Japalaghy, who has more than13,000 followers posted images of him kissing the woman on Instagram.
The woman, in different images, is seen wearing outfits like a black bikini and, white sports bra paired with black denim shorts and pink athletic wear. Women under the Islamic code are allowed to expose only their face, hands and feet and wear only modest colours while in public.
Originated in France, Parkour is an extreme sport that combines the efficiency of movement across the urban landscape with death-defying leaps.
It has a following in neighbourhoods of west Tehran, where high-rise residential buildings are situated close to each other.
Police officials have said that Japalaghy’s images will also be ‘arrested soon’.
In an Instagram video on Monday, Japalaghy said he had received “suspicious calls” telling him to turn himself in or be arrested publicly.
His brother confirmed Japalaghy’s arrest on the same Instagram account the next day.
