Portugal’s talismanic striker and skipper Cristiano Ronaldo may be 36 but he is one of the fittest footballers going around. And he follows a strict diet to remain so. So, what’s his poison, one may wonder. Well, it’s definitely not Coca-Cola!

At Monday’s press conference ahead of Portugal’s first match, against Hungary, at the Euro 2020, Ronaldo promptly removed the two Coca-Cola bottles kept on the table, and kept it aside.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner went on to hold up a bottle of water, saying “Agua”, meaning water in Portuguese, probably urging people to drink water rather than aerated drinks.

Interestingly, Coca-Cola is one of the sponsors for Euro 2020 and it remains to be seen if UEFA takes any action against Ronaldo.

The defending champions will take on Hungary today. They are in Group F with France and Germany.
