Two years after elbowing Lionel Messi in the face at an El Clasico game, Sergio Ramos has joined his on-field rival as a teammate in Paris Saint-Germain F.C.
Photos of Messi greeting Ramos as he met and trained with his new club, PSG, for the first time, have gone viral. The newfound camaraderie comes after years of on-field rivalry, as Ramos played for Real Madrid for sixteen seasons, captaining it for six.

Just months earlier, Ramos was in Real Madrid, and had offered to let Messi stay at his house if he left Barcelona for the club's historic rival, Real Madrid. But in July, Ramos signed a two-year contract with PSG. Barely a month later, Messi joined him.
On Thursday, as the two met as teammates for the first time, images of the hug they shared went viral.
