Simone Callahan, who was married to Shane Warne for 10 years, shared a touching tribute to the former Australian cricketer with a video montage on Instagram. This is her first public message since Warne's death on March 4.
The video has never-before-seen images of Warne with their children. Warne and Callahan were married from 1995 to 2005.
“Shane’s greatest love, our children Brooke, Jackson & Summer. Shane was taken too soon from their young lives. Eternal love remains & will never leave,” she captioned the video.
The pictures and clips show Warne playing and spending time with his three children at their home, in public parks and other places.
Callahan’s Instagram post comes just days after Warne’s family issued a statement about the legendary spinner's shocking death. In the statement, the cricketer’s shock death was described as a “never-ending nightmare”.
Callahan is a former model and a yoga instructor, and the couple had even dated again for a few months in 2007, two years after their divorce.
Warne, 52, died of a heart attack on Friday in Koh Samui, Thailand, sending shockwaves around the cricketing world.
Warne was found unresponsive in his hotel room on the Thai resort island of Samui on Friday and could not be revived at a nearby hospital. His body was transferred Sunday to the Thai mainland for an official autopsy at a state hospital.
Warne's family released a statement Monday saying the day of his death was for them the beginning of "a never-ending nightmare."
