Jamaica's Olympic sprinting legend Usain Bolt's substantial investment at Stocks and Securities Limited (SSL) has been lost.
Bolt's attorneys have stated that $12 million has vanished from his account and that they are prepared to take the case to court if necessary, Reuters reported.
One of the track and field star's lawyers Linton Gordon told Reuters, "We will be going to court with the matter" if the company does not return the funds, Gordon said."It is a grave disappointment, and we are hoping that the matter will be resolved in a way that Mr Bolt will recover his money and be able to live in peace."
Only $12,000 is left in the account now. The account was reportedly part of his retirement and lifetime savings.

"It's distressing news for anyone, and certainly in the case of Bolt, who established this account as part of his private pension," Gordon said. SSL in a statement had said that it had become aware of fraudulent activity by a former employee and that it has taken up the matter with law enforcement and taken steps to secure assets.
Finance Minister Nigel Clarke said on Tuesday that SSL had allegedly committed "alarming and evil fraud" and that authorities would "bring all perpetrators to justice,” Reuters reported.
