Ruturaj Gaikwad, the man who played a crucial role in Chennai Super Kings winning fifth title, would reportedly get married on Saturday to Utkarsha Pawar, a cricketer from Maharashtra. The couple reportedly had the mehendi ceremony on Thursday.
When CSK lifted the trophy on Monday, Utkarsha was present at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, along with Gaikwad to celebrate the moment. Utkarsha was reportedly also part of CSK's post-match celebrations.Â
The 24-year-old cricketer from Maharashtra has represented the state in domestic circuit. She is an all-rounder, a right-handed batter and a pacer, NDTV reported. Though he was selected as part of India's WTC final squad, he informed the BCCI that he is set to tie the knot on June 3, thus making it difficult for him to join the Indian team, News 18 reported. According to reports, Utkarsha is currently studying at the Institute of Nutrition and Fitness Sciences.
