Kerala Blasters beat Odisha FC 2-1 in ISL thriller

Kerala Blasters' talismanic midfielder Adrian Luna scored om the 84th minute to hand the Kochi-based team a win over Odisha FC in Kaloor on Friday.

A Diego Mauricio strike in the 15th minute gave visitors Odisha the lead. They managed to maintain the lead till half-time but KBFC came to the game in style to clinch full points. They equalized through Dimitrios Diamantakos in the 66th minute before Adrian Luna found the winner in the 84th minute.

Odisha FC missed a golden opportunity to double their lead in the first half after they were awarded a penalty kick after Naocha Singh handled the ball to punch the ball in his own box. Singh was handed the yellow card but KBFC's goalkeeper Sachin Suresh pulled off a superb double save to deny Mauricio and Isak Vanlalruatfela. 

Diego Mauricio came close to scoring right at half-time but was ruled offside by the referee's assistant. KBFC, which enjoyed 53% of possession, made best use of the break as they managed to turn the game around in the next 45 minutes. They fired a total of 18 shots against Odisha's tally of 7. 

Luna, wo is also the captain of KBFC, was declared the Man of the Match for his heroic performance. 

The victory took Kerala Blasters to second on the table with 10 points from 5 games, while Odisha is at 7th with 4.
