Portugal midfielder Ruben Neves made a move to Saudi's Al-Hilal from Wolverhampton Wanderers. If reports are to be believed, Neves may leave the cash-rich Asian league to make a comeback to Europe.
Ruben Neves is expected to make a comeback to the Premier League as Newcastle United was named the frontrunner to get the midfielder's signature when the market opens. With Sandro Tonali serving a 10-month ban, they are hellbent on bringing Neves to St James Park as soon as possible.
However, Arsenal gaffer Mikel Arteta is also a fan of the Portuguese and is pressuring his club authorities to enter the race to sign him, a report said.
According to reports, Arsenal and Thomas Partey are likely to part ways in the upcoming transfer window and for Arteta, Neves is the best player to replace the Ghanese international.
The 26-year-old Neves had one year left in his contract with Wolves when Al-Hilal signed him for a reportedly €55m deal. He remains a critical part of the team that remain comfortably on top of the Saudi Pro League table -- four points ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr
