Granada's Spanish winger Bryan Zaragoza will join German giants Bayern Munich next season on a five-year contract after an agreement between the clubs. The news of their new signing was confirmed by the Bundesliga champions said on Wednesday.
"Bryan Zaragoza is an explosive, very quick and extremely nimble winger, who can play on either side," Christoph Freund, Bayern sporting director, said in a statement. "He's unpredictable, can score and is very good one-on-one. He'll increase our attacking options. We wish him the best of luck for the rest of the season with Granada and look forward to him joining us in the summer."
Zaragoza, 22, has scored 10 times and provided three assists in 51 competitive matches for Granada, reported Reuters. He made his Spain debut in October in a 2-0 win over Scotland in a Euro 2024 qualifier.
He was named La Liga’s U23 Player of the Month in October. "Zaragoza can play anywhere across the front line, meaning he has been used this season in his preferred position on the left wing but also at centre-forward and as a No.10. The 22-year-old’s explosive runs and dribbling in recent weeks and months have left countless defenders standing. Perhaps his highlight moment was his dribble past Barcelona defender Jules Kounde for his second goal of that game. Zaragoza currently leads La Liga for successful dribbles this season with 40," Bayern Munich's official website said.
