Centre-back Amir Rrahmani scored deep in extra time to help Napoli beat strugglers Salernitana 2-1 win in Serie A on Saturday.
Antonio Candreva scored a stunning goal to give Salernitana the lead in the 29th minute, curling his shot into the far top corner from well outside the area. It was the veteran attacker's fifth goal this season. However, Napoli ensured parity was restored the two teams dispersed for the break. Matteo Politano scored from the spot after being rewarded a penalty four minutes into injury time.
However, Rrahmani was the star of the night as he pounced in the 96th minute to steal the win for the home side. The result eased the pressure on the under-fire defending champions. They moved up to sixth in the standings with 31 points while Salernitana stay bottom with 12 points.
