It was not the ideal situation Delhi Capitals hoped for after having dismissed the Rajasthan Royals' top-three pretty early. With the dangerous Yashasvi Jaiswal (5 off 7), Jos Buttler (11 off 16) and captain Sanju Samson (15 off 14) gone early, Riyan Parag stepped up to take the Royals to a competent 185/5 at the Sawai Manshing Indoor Stadium.
Parag, who smashed 84 from 45 deliveries, plundered 25 runs in the last over bowled by Anrich Nortje to the horror of Rishabh Pant. The experienced Nortje had no answer to Parag's brutal hitting. The last ball of the innings, which yielded a single was the only one to not cross the boundary line. The merciless beating included three boundaries and a couple of sixes.

However, Nortje's dismal six balls are not even among the top five most expensive final overs of the IPL. The unwanted record for bowling the costliest last over of an IPL game is held by Ashok Dinda. Playing for the Pune Supergiants in 2017, Dinda went for 30 runs against Mumbai Indians.
Dinda also gave away 26 runs in the last over in an IPL game twice, ESPN Cricinfo showed.
Here are the five most expensive last overs ever in the history of the IPL:
1. (2017) Ashok Dinda - 30 runs | Pune Supergiant vs Mumbai Indians
2. (2013) David Hussey - 27 runs | Kings XI Punjab vs Mumbai Indians
3. (2014) Rahul Shukla - 27 runs | Delhi Daredevils vs Royal Challengers Bangalore
4. (2013) Ashok Dinda - 26 runs | Pune Warriors vs Royal Challengers Bangalore
5. (2011) Ashok Dinda - 26 runs | Delhi Daredevils vs Pune Warriors
